Inks: Only Orange
Accessories: Hidden Garden Rub-ons, Kindy Glitz

Thinking of you Always

When I first saw the Flower Fusion Felt Flowers in the Summer Mini Catalogue, I was a bit unsure of them, so I didn't rush out to get them, but the more I saw them used on other people's projects, they started to grow on me (plus they are made in my favourite colours)so I recently purchased a set.

This was a card I did recently for a workshop, just wanted to show that you don't always have to use stamps to make nice cards!! They loved it!

Cardstock: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Flower Fusion Felt Flowers, Silver Brad, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Hidden Garden Rub-ons

Thanks
Jules

Eastern Blooms

I hope Eastern Blooms is in our New Catalogue (Australia and New Zealand), this is one of my favourites!

The original idea for this card came from another Demonstrator, Bec (http://stampinwithbec.blogspot.com/) she does a A Shoe-Box Swap. This is where a group of people all design a card and provide the materials and tools to make it. For example, if there are 6 people in the group, each person provides enough materials to make 5 of their card design and provides one sample for the other people to copy. This means that each person gets to make 5 cards on the day but only has to design one card. As you complete each card, you move on to the next “shoe-box”.

Anyway one of her customers designed a card along the same technique and Liz and myself had a go. This is what we came up with! It was a little time consuming as we had to cut out all the little flowers 3 times for each panel!!

Stamps: Eastern Blooms
Cardstock:Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery and Whisper White
Inks:Chocolate Chip and Rose Red
Accessories: Hidden Garden Rub Ons, Cuttlebug and Nestabilities Circle and Circle Scallop

Thanks
Jules

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.
I hope you all had a lovely day spent with loved ones or that special someone.
Look at my beautiful bunch of flowers that Anthony gave to me today. I just love bright colourful bunches of flowers, with lots of variety.

Have a great day...

Also look at the beautiful handmade card Anthony made for me!! (I made the base/style of the card the other day and it was left on my craft table, and I was going to get back to finish it in a few days time, but someone else got in first!!)
I admit he did pretty well, he did choose the stamp set himself and the ink. (I'm actually impressed he got the ink pad open, some of my customers have trouble opening these).
This is not the first handmade card he has done for me!!

Enjoy the rest of your day...
Jules

STAMPIN' UP! AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND BUSHFIRE APPEAL

As I sit here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast watching the heart breaking news coverage of all the fires and people who have lost everything in Victoria, I realise how lucky I am, although I recently lost my job and have be feeling low, I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and all my family and friends are safe and well.

(the information below is from the Stampin' Up! Australian Demonstrator website)

Over the past few days, with the bushfires that have ravaged Victoria, Australia has suffered its largest natural disaster in the nation's history. We grieve with you over those who have lost their lives, loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. And like you, we feel a compelling need to help and offer support to all those who are suffering.

Together, we can help provide the assistance that the survivors of this tragedy so desperately need as they work to rebuild their families and their lives.

Join us in this effort by supporting the Bushfire Appeal--a cause in which Stampin' Up! will donate 50 percent of the retail value of sales from a select group of ten stamp sets to the Australia Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal.

To help those victims of the bushfires that have ravaged Victoria, join with us in supporting the Bushfire Appeal.

Random Cards

The First card, I got the original idea from a card I saw in the new 2009 Hero Arts Catalogue, but by the time I finished this card it looked kinda like the original one and I think I over did it and made it too busy!!

Stamp Sets: Forever Flowers Wheel
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Other: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Eastern Elegance Rubons, Kaiser Bling

The second one, I got the idea from our February Stampin' Up! Impressions.
On Pages 6 & 7, there was a section "Punch it Up", using your punches! How to take punches to a new level with a few simple folds!

Stamp Sets: Scribble This, So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess Set)
Inks: Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Cerely, Barely Banana
Other: Certainly Celery 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Word Window Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Rhinestone Brad Circle Fire

What does this look like???

My sister Angela said it looks like Fairy Floss! Anthony didn't say much at all!
It is a Birthday Card I made for my niece Anneslies who's birthday is tomorrow! It was supposed to be a Cupcake, but maybe not!
Maybe I should stick with using stamps rather than free hand drawing!!
What do you think????

Colour Challange 2

Our Colour Challange 2 : Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, Cameo Coral, So Saffron.

Some of the ladies in one of my downline group The Inklink have a Colour Challange that they have recently started, I was asked if I wanted to join in the fun also.
This is our second Colour Challange that we have done, (sorry I didn't take photos of the first challange, I will have to see if I can find all the cards that were done and take a photo).
There are no real rules except that you must use the colours that are in the challange, any stamp set can be used, any technique, style, etc.
As you can see there were only 5 involved in the last challange and we all have completely different styles! It's great to see what other people come up with!

(I made a mistake with my card in the photo, I used Regal Rose instead Cameo Coral but I changed it to the correct colour when I did the other swaps, but I didn't take a photo of the correct colour, still looks OK!)

Stampin' Up! New Tag Line

For ages I have been looking around for some lettering or stickers that I could put on my wall in my craft room, as I have such a huge area to fill but then also came the problem of what to write.
Last week when I was visiting Liz, she had on the wall in her studio
Inspire * Create * Share
and reminded me that Stampin' Up! had a new tag line (I remembered this when I saw it but as we haven't seen it printed much, it didn't really stick in my mind yet).

The letters are Wall Text Alphabets from Making Memories- the font I choose is just classic lower black.

I have place them directly above my working area and you can see them as soon as you walk through the door!!
Thanks Liz for letting me copy your idea!!
