Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Me! yesterday the 26th was my Birthday!
This is the card that my older sister Angela made for me.. pretty cool! I'll have to CASE this!
Anthony also made me a card, but I didn't get around to taking a photo of it yet. I got a new Camera from him, a Canon EOS 450D (Digitial SLR). I also got heaps of vouchers and cash! Anthony took me to dinner to The Spirit House in Yandina http://www.spirithouse.com.au/
Anyone who has even been to the Spirit House raves about it! This is what the web site says about it "Set in lush tropical gardens nestled around a tranquil pond, bubbling waterfalls, tinkling wind chimes, the sounds of nature - the Spirit House is a delight for all senses. Award-winning contemporary Asian food". And it was as it read! The food was delicious!
Thanks..Jules

Dear Kind Wonderful Friend

I originally CASED the design of this card from the current US Spring-Summer 2009 Catalogue (Page 19) I changed the colours slightly, as well as the stamps used. I know this is not my usual style but for some reason this card caught my eye. Very soft and pretty!
On Thursday I received my pre order of the NEW 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Catalogues and Idea Books (oohh very nice) and the original card is in here also, the original stamps used on this card are from a Level 2 Hostess Set called Echoes of Kindness, it is a beautiful set which would be great for watercolouring (this is on my wishlist)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.. Jules

Stamp Sets: Fresh Cuts,Occasional Greetings
Cardstock: Certainly Celery Textured, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink Confetti White and Whisper White
Inks: Versamark, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink
Other: Coluzzle Oval Template

Cocktail Anyone??

Here is another card I made with one of the new stamp sets from the 2009/2010 Catalogue.
Stamp Set: Cheers to You
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Watercolor Paper
Inks: Stazon Black, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Old Oldive, Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red
Other: Aqua Painters, Dazzling Diamonds, Mat Pack, Rhinestone Brads-Circle-Fire

The reason I originally got this stamp set Cheers to You, was because when I saw the Beer Mug in the set, I thought straight away that it would be good to use for male cards, as I always struggle with cards for males. But also, we are going on a cruise to Singapore in May and now I got to thinkin' that I can use the rest of the set for some great scrapbooking pages from the cruise!!

Have a great weekend.. Jules

Punch your Heart Out!

I recently joined up to do Heather Summers Online Punch Class. In 20 days, 20 projects, 20 creations, 20 videos and 20 text files! How great does this sound! (http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/)

If your a regular to Stampin' Up!, then you already know about our fantastic range of PUNCHES we have to offer! I love them and always have!
Heather is a Demonstrator from Canada, and they have a greater range of Punches than we have here in Australia (but hopefully that will all change as of the 1st of April, when we get our new 2009/2010 Catalogue/Idea Book) so with some of the little Punched Projects I have had to improvise with the Punches and make do with what I have.
Most of them turned out OK, some pieces are a little odd looking (like the elephant's trunk) but you get the general idea. I think they are all so cute! I had so much fun punching these and putting them all together.
My favourites are the little turtle, and the lady bug (the lady bug actually moves along the branch). I added the googling eyes to my punched projects, I think it adds a little character to them.
Thanks..Jules

More Easter Projects

I recently purchased the Instructions to make this cute little gift box from Becky Roberts (http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/)it is great!
Once you have the instructions you can use it to make all other projects, I think originally it was called a Valentine's Box, but as you can see I used mine to use as a Easter Gift Box. Other people have used it for Stationery Gifts, Cupcake Gift Set, Pamper Box Set, etc. Again, so much nicer then store brought stuff, plus friends and family are more likely to keep this beautiful box and use it after all the goodies are gone.
Thanks Jules

More Easter Projects

I CASED these templates/designs from Andrea Walford (http://andreawalford.com/), she does such beautiful projects. They were posted last year around easter time, but as Easter had been and gone by the time we got our New Catalogue, and we never had any cute Easter Stamps in the previous year's catalogue, I never made them.
Andrea had used "A Good Egg" Stamp Set (P 34 of 2008/2009 Catalogue)and it is not Retiring, so it a great set to use for all your Easter Projects and the little chick is cute!
As I have spare time on my hands at the moment, I thought I would have a go at making a few easter projects. Plus I so wanted to use my Cute Punch Bunny again!!
These were quick, easy and inexpensive projects to make, and so much nicer than some of the stuff in the shops and supermarkets, plus you can choose your favourite yummy treats/chocolates you want to put in each one.
Thanks Julie

Easter

With Easter just around the corner, I thought I would get organised and start to make a few cards and projects. I had recently seen in a magazine, a die cut of a cute bunny, so I thought I would have a go making my own Punch Bunny (using Stampin' Up! Punches) I've had him sitting on my craft table for the past week but have been slack in updating my blog, plus it took me a few days to find the pompom for the tail (I couldn't get white, so I settled for pink) and more recently someone had posted on a Stampin Up yahoo site, a similar bunny. Anyway, this is my cute little bunny I made, I think he is just the cutest!
Thanks Jules

Round Up Accordian Book

I had a customer who asked me if I could design a Project similar to the Style Watch sample in the 2008/2009 Catalogue and Idea Book from the Boho West range. I've had the Round Up Simply Scrappin Kit for ages, but I have always struggled with this range as it wasn't one of my favourites. Anyway, this is what I came up with! I know it's taken me nearly a year to do this, but hey, better late then never!
All I used for this Accordian Book was 1/2 a pack of the Round Up Simply Scrappin Kit, and coordinating inks: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Sage Shodow, Really Rust.
Oh, yeah, as usual I had no photos to go with this style, so I just left it blank, but you can see how good it would look with the right photos!!(ha,ha)
Thanks Jules
