A Warm Welcome for Ebony..

Tonight I would like to introduce you all to another little lady from The Greeting Farm who has recently joined my stamp collection, Ebony.

Ebony is a "Rock Chick" and I think she has attitude!! I love her trendy hair style and outfit! As with most of The Greeting Farm stamps they are great for colouring with Copic Markers.
I sat down one night last week and coloured in a heap of different images, so at the time I didn't take notice as to what colours I was using but I must remember to take a photo or write down the Copic's I use in future.

Items used to create my card:
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Ebony,
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Pattern Paper:Graphic 45
Brads:Making Memories
Cardstock: Red Textured Card
Other: Cuttlebug and Nestabilities:Oval and Scallop Oval, Sticker:unknown

Thanks...Jules

Introducing Ruby..

I would like to introduce you to Ruby, in my last post I mentioned that I had just received my first order of stamps from The Greeting Farm.
Well Ruby is one of my newest stamps to my collection and also available at Creations in Paper. I said that I have a new addiction to Copic Markers, and as I am new to the whole Copic Marker World and I am self taught from reading different blogs from around the world (so don't look too closley at my colouring) please bear with me as I learn and experiment more!!

Below is a card I made recently using my new Ruby stamp set.
Other product used was:
Ink:Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics:(I need to remember to photograph the colours I used), Pattern Paper:Doodlebug, Flowers: Green Tara, Cardstock: Textured Card, Bling:unknown, Cuttlebug and Nestabilities.

Thanks...Jules

Busy

Finally, it has stopped raining here on the Sunshine Coast and things are starting to feel normal! My papers are liking this weather better, I have tried to protect them by keeping them in the bags they arrived in, but my envelopes weren't that lucky! I recently purchased envelopes (only 500 of them) and about half of them have actually sealed themselves due to the rain and the humidity. So if anyone has any suggestions on classes I can run using sealed envelopes, much appreciated!!

So the past few weeks have been busy, with new stock arriving all the time and trying to find spots for everything to fit!! But I finally feel like I am getting organised!!

Classes have started and are slowly attracting a bit of interest with locals and holiday makers!

Since I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for so long, it's fun, exciting and very interesting to see what other companies and products are on the market today (but also very hard to try and decide what to get!)
I have lots of different goodies from a few favourite companies, Hero Arts Stamps, Basic Grey Papers, Graphic 45 Papers, 7 Gyspies Papers, Crate Paper and Cosmo Cricket.
I have also just received my first order from the USA for some stamps from The Greeting Farm. These stamps are fun and funky and are great for colouring with Copic Markers (which I am slowly becoming obsessed with). Also my first order of Copic Markers will be arriving in store this coming week. Plus still waiting for my Magnolia Stamps to arrive. So lots of new and exciting products to look at and play with!!

Above are a few cards I have been making using new products from Hero Arts and Basic Grey and my earlier attempts of colouring with Copic Markers (these cards are actually unfinished, I had added some sentiments, was about to photograph them finished, but someone walked into the shop, saw them and purchased them!!)

Thanks...Jules

M.I.A

You would have noticed that things have been pretty quiet around here lately! But over the past 2 months lots of things have been happening and I have been one very busy lady!

You'll notice that all the Stampin'Up! images and promo's have been removed from my blog! Well, that is because I have resigned from Stampin' Up! as a Independent Demonstrator. This was a very hard decision for me to have to make as I love everything about Stampin’ Up!, especially the products and I have loved being a Demonstrator plus without Stampin’ Up! I would not have met all the wonderful customers I have and the friends I have made because of it!

So, what was the reason why I resigned from Stampin' Up!??
Well, a opportunity has come along that I am able to open my very own Craft Shop, here on the Sunshine Coast, "Creations In Paper" This was not planned at all, my sister was visiting from Darwin and we went up to Montville one afternoon for a bit of a look a round and we stumbled across a shop for lease!
It has been a dream of mine for about 6 years, to open my own Papercraft Shop, but due of other commitments and things happening in our lives, this never seemed to be a possibility! This was the main reason I joined Stampin’ Up!

I will be selling mostly products for Card Making, like stamps, papers, embellishments, tools, etc. I also have a class room, so once I get settled and a bit more organised, I will also be running regular daytime and weekend classes.

I would to say “Thank You” to you all for your support that you gave me as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and I look forward to catching up soon if you’re in Montville, on the Sunshine Coast.

It is not a huge shop, but it has character and it’s a starting point! I have attached a few “Before” and “After” photos, which are fun to see how different it now looks!! The layout has changed again since I took these photos a few days ago, and will probably change again before I am happy with it!

I have been waiting for my signs to get done and on Saturday morning when I arrived at the shop to open I got a pleasant suprise when I pulled up out the front!
There looking right at me were my completed signs. I was really happy with how they turned out, they are certainly bright and stand out from a distance!
They aren't the best photos, but I took them with my iphone as I was so excited and I had to send a picture to everyone straight away!!

Thanks Jules...
