Creations In Paper - Copic Class 1

CREATIONS IN PAPER ~ COPIC CLASS 1
June saw many of you attend the ‘Introduction to Copic Markers’ classes, with lots of positive feed back received from those who attended. So now that I have you hooked on Copic Markers, I know you want to learn more!!

COST is $50.00 per person
This cost includes 6 Copic Ciao Markers, photographed information sheets and a practise page.
This class expands on the information given in the Introduction to Copic Markers Class, plus as there is quite a bit to learn in this class, I am going to break it down into two classes, spread over July and August.

Please bring along any Copic Markers you may already have; there are markers included in the class cost and I am more than happy to swap colours on the day if you already have the colours we are using in the kit.

Breath of Spring..

Currently I am running Introduction to Copic Marker Classes in store and they have been very popular. So, instead of scaring customers off by starting with colouring faces and clothing etc, and them getting frustrated, I thought we would start with colouring smaller images and get used to the feel of the pens, how the ink flows and blends etc and then work up to colouring bigger images with confidence!!

So I thought the stamps from JustRite are the perfect size to practise on and also they are great value for money that you are able to change them around to give a completly look!

The cards below are samples I made to show during the class using the stamp set Breath of Spring. They are all stamped in Memento Ink, on XPress It Blending Cardstock and of course coloured with Copics. I have too many Copics to list all the colours I used. I had heaps of fun playing with these. With most of the flowers I have just used 2 colours, so they are pretty simple, but great for practising with Copic Markers.

There are still a few spaces left in Saturday afternoon's class for the Introduction to Copic Markers, please give me a call if you want to know more infomation or would like to attend!
Thanks...

New Stamps at Creations In Paper Store

This month at Creations In Paper, we would like to introduce you all to our latest addition Wild Rose Studio

My friend Jenni first told me about these stamps last year and at that stage I hadn't even thought about opening my own store, but when I decided to open, this was one of the first companies I approached, but the more I looked into them the harder it was to get these stamps as the cost of freight was going to be huge!!

But I am happy to say, that things got sorted and yesterday this is what arrived in store!!
I haven't had a chance to play yet, but I will hopefully be able to post some samples in the coming days!!
Be sure to call into the Creations In Paper store to have a closer look at these!!

Thanks..

First Digi Stamp..

So I recently purchased some of my first Digi stamps from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop

I was a little unsure at first but thought I would have a go. I've seen these images getting around abit on a few blogs and think they are soo cute. This one is Bye Bye Girl and there is also a Bye Bye Boy which I also have!

Still unsure if I am a fan or not, I think I like to actaully have the rubber stamp there in front of me!

Had lots of fun colouring in with my Copics!

Sorry not the greatest photo!! Don't really know what happened there!
Thanks..

Random Cards...

So I have been busily using my Copics, and as they say the only way to get better and more comfortable using your Copics, is to Practise, Practise, Practise!!

As mentioned before, I usually stamp out a heap of images onto my Card and then while watching tv or when I have a spare moment I pull out my Copics and colour in. Sometimes I am happy with the outcome and sometimes not!

Below are some of those images that I have coloured in the past few weeks. I finally sat down and then turned them into cards to sell in the shop. I've added some card bases, pretty papers, bit of this and that.

So the cards below have all been stamped in Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black and onto Xpress It Blending Card. All the supplies are from my stash!

Have a great week end...

Happy Birthday Candace

Today is Candace's birthday, sweet 19! (Oh to be 19 again and to know then what I know now!!)
Candace works in the shop next door to me up at Montville (Country Village) and since she isn't working today, we had a little birthday morning tea yesterday for her!! I made yummy triple chocolate muffins with chocolate frosting!!

I also made her this cute girly birthday card with some new stamps I purchased for myself from Stamping Bella. This cake is too die for! I suppose it can be used for either birthday or wedding.

So I used my Copics to colour in with and I added a bit of bling on a few sections using some of my new Spica Pens. The "Hey Sweet Thing" stamp was from the set Sweethearts from Waltzing Mouse. The paper is from Basic Grey, wide Satin Chocolate ribbon, Martha Stewart punch and of course Nestabilities.

Thanks..
